ABOUT ME

My name is Rebecca but my friends call me Reb. I am a food systems advocate with experience in policy and coalition building across community nutrition contexts. I am a US-trained dietitian passionate about relationship-centered leadership and translating grassroots priorities into effective strategy to advance food dignity and systems change.

I am currently working to become credentialed as a dietitian in Aotearoa NZ and working in community food in the interim. My favorite nutrition topics are accessible recipes for large groups, grief and food, art and food, systems and policy, what harm reduction with food looks like in practice, labor and care work, and listening to you talk about whatever food plant or recipe makes you feel loved and safe.

As an illustrator and visual communicator I help public health, food systems, and nutrition-focused nonprofits, advocacy organizations, university programs, and research teams translate complex ideas into clear, accessible visuals. Projects range from single visual summaries to multi-visual research and communication packages. If you're interested in working together, I'd love to hear from you.
